enjoyed the videos of the trails in the mountains, all the trails you rode on are east of sunspot hwy.all these trails are 4 wheeler ok,dammit. The only trails left for m/c only is the entire length [33 miles ] of rimtrail105.I ride the entire length every spring just to see if i can.Used to have a gang do this ,but for some reason they have dwindled down to me.last spring took me 5 hrs to do the mileage.Lots of deadfalls.Iused to clean out trails with chainsaw but the forest service made me quit or take a class to learn how to use my chainsaw that i've had for 25 years.
good to see videos

Have yet to ride the entire Rim trail, but I enjoyed what I did.
Had a really tough time on the south end when it rained (poured!) on me, but I finally made it out (riding south to north).
Need to round up AustinJake and go back again.

Holler at me in the spring and i would go along.Hopefully we will get some snow this winter and can go snowmobiling. All the trails are great when there's 2 feet of snow.

I don't see a fall trip in the cards for me either, but spring sounds good. Have to see how vacation availability falls out at work. I like to have an extra day due to the drive since I work nights.

tryin to put together a spring ride for rimtrail105.is anyone interested? i have been doin a spring ride on 105 for at least 25 years.last year nobody would go with me and after 33 miles and 6 hrs, i finally got thru. shitloads of deadfalls to go over, around and detours .next year gonna take a lighter scooter [xr200r] and attempt it again.only fitting that i do this, for it is my namesake.

Sounds like a good time, I'll see if I can borrow a KLR  ;)
If a day is picked enough ahead of time I might be able to burn a vacation day, but otherwise it would have to be a Sunday for me, due to the travel time I can't get down there very early. I have a decent camp saw.

It's too far out for me to commit, but I'd be up for that.

Ok thats what im talkin about, participation! I will start puttin a ride together for the spring.Probably a one day ride for the rimtrail ,and maybe another day for general ridin.Talked about a rimtrail ride at the Dawg meeting last night and got several people to admit they wanted in on it.Also looks like there will be a memorial day poker run in the mountains this next year.2014.We used to put one of these on years ago and i am glad to see it may be back.
