General Discussion / Re: Tools to take

My problem is figuring out types of problems I should be packing for. Flats are a no-brainer but what other common issues should you prepare for and have a good chance to repair in the field?
  • Flats: Two Motion Pro T6 levers plus a bigger one that I hose clamped to the frame. CO2 (cause i'm lazy) and a small hand pump tie wrapped to my handle bars. Tire patch kit. mini tire gage and some mechanic gloves. I also used my FoodSaver to make some small packets of dish soap to lube the tire. And finally the "crutch lift"
  • Spark plug socket and spare plug.
  • A sliding T handle and individual allen, screwdriver bits + sockets
  • Small vice grips
  • small crescent wrench
  • medium crescent wrench
  • bigger sliding T
  • needle nose pliers
  • wire cutters
  • multitool
  • paracord, and Amsteel cord
  • spare chain clip
  • wire ties

As you can see I'm planning on major repairs with no actual knowledge how to do them. Plus, I've duplicated stuff. The multitool can replace the dykes, and pliers and screwdriver bits.

You enduro guys are probably shaking your heads. Feel free to critique it. Should I be prepared to fix a flat, and everything else is a band-aid fix to limp back?

Welcome to the site.

I think I might have to ban myself from the 105 unless I ride it over several days.

It sure is fun though.

Yeah, Europe seems to be where this is coming from and the occasional strange post adds to the excitement no doubt.
I don't think it's anything more than an annoyance, but I want to limit it.
What's funny are the names they come up with, combinations of eastern euro names.
There a couple of other things I did to make it less easy for the random spammer to post or send PM's to members. They are required to complete that CAPTCHA thing for their first several posts.

Forum News / Enhanced Registration Process

Periodically, the site has been targeted by a-holes from other countries attempting to register as members.  So far this has been just a minor inconvenience but I hate spam!  :-X One evening, an industrious person registered 80+ times. lol

Anyway, the registration process is being handled by yours truly on a case by case basis and if the IP appears funny or otherwise make my spidey senses tingle, they get denied. Unfortunately this may impact legitimate members from joining but I'll do my best to filter those people through. If you know of anybody getting denied just let me know.

Finally got around to fixing the tapatalk app. Sorry for the delay.

It's a pretty slick way to comment on the site from a smart phone. Much easier than using the website itself.

Also added a holiday theme emoticons.  :P

I'm going to be lazy and just post a link to the groups event calender for 2014. I haven't seen any trends indicating interest, but it's a good cause anyway.
